Assessments
How often should assessments be given to students if a class is 4 days a week - 4 hours a day?
I feel an assesment needs to be given at the end of each class to make sure the studet is grapping the material that is being taught.
I agree. I often assess starting a new week, or after a holiday break as well as prior to a final study session to know what to focus on.

Excellent questions. I feel that the answer depends on the level of the course, however in this case, I feel that the students should be assessed at least twice per week (not just exams/quizzes, however with assignments that enable them to apply their learning), in order to make sure that they are retaining the information. If assessments do not occur frequently in this structure, students may fall behind or lose focus with the content.

depends on the material, and course information and need for assessment. Frequent assessments will benefit students, but there shouldn't be too many given to the students.
