Critical Thinking Activities
I have students doing a project in groups of 3, they do research create a powerpoint and also 2 page report and they split the work between the 3 of them and also one leads the project and delegates to the other students. They practice teamwork and the information to present in class.

Anytime a student is allowed to have a "MOCK" project great critical thinking is involved. A "MOCK" project lets the student and instructor know if the student can apply what has been learned. I love "MOCK" projects; students really get a lot out of "MOCK" projects.

In one of our courses we have the students building a "Mock" engine and they have to place all the sensors and actuators in their proper place and tell us how they are checked and the voltages they should be seeing.

I really like how you have 3 essential parts to the project, and you have 3 people in each group so that each person is responsible for an essential part. I am sure there is a lot of critical thinking involved in this detailed project. I am also certain that the manager of the group has to think through things thoroughly as well.
