Active Learning
While teaching a class, I constantly try and involve the student in the learning process. For example, while presenting a demonstration, I have the students follow along on their computers, thus giving them a hands-on learning experience instead of watching and listening the entire time.
Hi Shoukat,
Students enjoy and learn more whenever they are actively involved in the lesson. I love to do role playing, group projects, hands-on activities, scenarios, case studies, field trips, etc. to have great student involvement.

I use the same approach of active learning,I constantly involve my student in learning processes
Hi Angela,
With cosmetology hands-on is a must. Students really learn better/more from doing.
Patricia
In my profession as cosmetology instructor we do alot of hands on experience. My students have to do so many practicals a day for their grades. They are also timed on accuracy and speed. We prepare students not only in active learning. But also to help prepare them for the real world in this profession that greatly involves a lot of active learning hands on experience.
Hi Donald,
I use the same approach! I like to tell my students what we are going to do, why we are doing it, and then WE do it. Students love the hands-on learning. Most people learn by doing.
