Kris, I concur with your observations. I have noticed myself that having the students discuss the topic at hand really seems to hold them longer. Moving forward I plan to do this more often.

Getting post-secondary students involved in an active disuccion seems to keep their attention spam a lot longer than just a straight up lecture.
