interactive learning

I find using the interactive learning strategies gets them thinking on their own and they get downright excited about what they are learning. But be careful, you must be engaged with them, if they start to get frustrated and you don’t help guide them to the correct solution they may be lost for the rest of the day. Stay involved with them, don’t give them the answers just guide them; they feel more satisfaction when they discover it themselves

Hi Melissa,
You are definitely correct. It is the absolute best, and students love it!

I have found that interactive learning tends to be the best method for my class. It helps to get the students involved in the class and helps retain the material.

Hi Annette,
Let students come up with their answer, and you act as a facilitator guiding them if their answer is not correct. Students need to learn to think on their own and rationalize things.

I have to agree, you have to be involved with your students. It does not benefit them to give them the answers. Sometimes it is useful to engaged them into learning exercises and careful review the results.

Hi Jim,
Visual teaching is a must. Most learners can do it if they see it. I make it a point to allow students to perform what has been taught as well in order to reach my kinesthetic learners. Of course, we all teach to the auditory learners. We have to reach them all.

Interactive learning, engaged learning, student hands-on learning, all ways to get the student involved and learning. As they say, what the learner does is what the learner learns. Just sitting and listening misses a few of the learning preccess that most students use, tactile to visual.

Hi Wayne,
Our students need constant guidance to keep their frustration level down.
