Active Learning
I have found this information to all be accurate. In my experience the more active learning there is the better retention there is
Hi Greg,
Students love it when they can actually put book theory into work.
Patricia Scales
I enjoy the hands on in groups and indivdual process. They really get tuned into the project.
Hi Theodore,
We must learn how to reel our students in to get them to be a part of the lesson. Students like being a part of the lesson. Students need to understand the full spectrum as to what the lesson involves.
Patricia Scales
I agree it is much better to get the students personally involved. They have to understand the problem or situation, break it into its parts, get an understanding of the significance of each part and the implications of making changes. Then they have to evaluate the results of their actions. The results of this involvement in learning.
Hi Jeffery,
You are right! Application tells it all. A lot of people can pass a test, but can they actually apply what they have learned?
Patricia Scales
i agree. i work in a tech school and most of the students are hands on learners. you can give people a test and have them get great scores but they will never learn anything until they have to apply it in life.
Hi Sara,
I agree! The information sticks better when you can do it.
