I am quiet impressed with this course it has given me a clear picture how to get student involve in activities, Active learning is a best tool which can help intrutor to get invole every student in class activity. Helps instructors to deal with bad students and to change their attitudes

I understand time is of the essence, but once the initial planning is done, you can use these activities repetitively. It is only time consuming at the very beginning.

Have been able to add quite a few 'active learning' experiences to my classroom with great success, but need to add more. My students have said they really enjoyed them. Biggest barrier for me is taking the time to prepare them and the number of one's that should be in a 4 hr class time.

I too have witnessed turnarounds in bad students. As instructors, we simply must not give up on any student. Push all students to their limit.

I wanted to touch on your use of the phrase "bad students" and how active learning can assist in helping them change. I agree that we have all had bad students. I always try to keep the idea that they have the same potential for success as the "good students". That being said, I feel that most "bad" ones have simply had negative experiences in the past with education. Particularly some of the blame lies with instructors that exhibit some of the barriers discussed in this course. I do feel like active learning can help students to update their attitudes and become more engaged in their own learning process. I have seen plenty of "bad" students turn around and be quite successful.
I agree, not being a professionally trained instructor this is great information and will help me in making my class time more productive and enjoyable to the students.
