what kind of issues do adults have about high-risk classroom activities?

Hi Jesse,
I concur! Students have an entire interest level when something belongs to them. They will give 100% effort.

I like to have students actively figure out diagnosis on their own vehicles. It can be high risk if they can't find the information but I find that when they are researching or working on something that is theirs, they tend to work harder and be more interested. Students seem to like to be active if it involves their possessions. Then they also enjoy sharing what they found.

Hi Mitchell,
The more students get up in front of others, the more comfortable they will become. Try having the students performs short bursts when presenting to build their confidence.

Hi..

Students have a fear and are intimidated to get up and speak in front of their peers. Their shortcomings and things th at they are not proficient at, become huge and overwhelm the person. It takes practice and patience to overcome and master the art of performing a High-Risk Classroom Activity. Students also have a fear of failing. They try to get things out there and right for all of their peers and feel that they did an inferior job if they didn't pass the challenge. Mitch

Hi Nuance,
Most students really like to be reassured. They feel better about themselves with assurance.

I agree with you Deborah assurance always makes them feel better

I do deal with high risk activities and a calm and confident approach always help students

Hi Derrick,
I do not deal with high-risk activities, but I will venture to say if the instructor uses a calm approach to the presentation, the students will not have an issue.
