Do you see transference of learning occurying when you use active lessons that involve critical thinking especially in comparison to more lecture teacher centered lessons?

Yes, when critical thing activities are incoperated in to support lectures, I ussually can tell which student understood the assignment and which student did not.

I have witnessed transference of learning when critical thinking exercises are involved. Students will recall what they have learned and apply it , and they will also think out of the box. Students show their learning growth when critical thinking is a must.
