Active Learning
Should active learning be involved in every course?
Hi Sheila,
I concur! Students need active learning to determine if they understand what they have been taught through theory.

I agree active learning should be involved in every course. Many webinars today incorporate "pauses" with questions in an effort to make the active, rather than passive.
While completing this course I learned that often during lectures when students talk to one another for clarity they are implementing active learning. This non-structured way is disruptive. Now I see by scheduling pauses and encouraging this interaction I can turn disruption and a desire to learn for a couple of students into something productive for the entire class. Also, it allows me to spot check the class for good understanding of content
Hi Davis,
Students really do enjoy active learning. They get all into active learning. Students retain more from active learning.

I use active learning every day. The students love it and this was a great refresher!
Hi Silena,
Yes, if at all possible. Learning is retained more through active learning.
