some people take career paths that are not truly correct for them. I try not to discourage them but through conversation tell them this maybe not for them
I totally agree...we are here to mentor our students and guide them through their education, not force the information down their throats. Just like every occupation available in the workforce, some people are not very well suited for handling the job. Being a mentor also means at times you may have bring the struggling student's underlying issues to their attention, even if it means losing the student to another school/occupation.
Yes, what an outstanding idea. Most time is spent lacking in the internal struggles of a student's relationship with the ongoing extrusion of one's own sociological grievances.
