Well said in terms of being able to transfer classroom content to real world applications. When this is done students increase their engagement and motivation as they start to see the value of what is being taught.

Instructional professionalism entails being a good source for model behavior relevant to the field and course material required. This helps to show what is expected is also delivered in action and engages students in taking greater responsibility for what they learn. When I find a rule that works brilliantly in the classroom course material and can even be taken out of the context of the classroom environment yet it still applies in the field, professional as well as personal relationships, and problem solving; I know I have found a very valuable insight into a universal truth.
