Supportive Research

Helping students understand how to research properly to support (or diminish) their positions is an essential aspect of content learning. Often research may lead students to avenues that only support but not challenge their hypothesis, this is a bad practice.

I agree with you, Stephen. It is especially important for career minded students. Research develops critical thinking and reflective qualities that are essential in many fields. With the prevelance of technology, we can no longer accept information that is handed to us. We must be able to determine credible sources and evaluate the information ourselves. This is a skill that can be used long after a degree is completed.
