Classroom setup for both power point use and writing on boards
I like to use both power points and writing on boards for emphasis. Most classrooms don't have the needed space or are set up to be able to do this, so I have to make the choice either or as the projector covers the entire board space.
If you do have the option of both board an power point. I have added pictues to my power point that I can draw on.
I can have the students fill in the blanks.
Open up both powerpoints. Minimize both of them on you desktop. Hold down the ALT button then hit TAB and keep hitting tab until you have the powerpoint you want. You can go back and forth between them with closing them down it is great.
Good Luck!
One of my students suggested that last quarter. Thanks. I hope school has some extras.
How do you open another p.pt. while one is on?
Gary,
Flip charts are a great idea.
I once had a community college class where there were white boards in the front of the class and one side of the classroom so I moved the desks down so I could use the side white boards when my PP cover the white board at the front of the classroom.
Whenever I was in another classroom where I could only use one of the other I actually opened up another PP slide and typed important notes and emailed them to the class afterwards.

Hi Barbara,
I have been assigned to some classrooms like your yours, where I have to chose one (PP) or the other (chalkboard). When I have such a class I use flip charts so I can write when I need to as well as use my PPs.
