Same with my students. The reason we have classes is for the students to attend and learn new knowledge and skills. I am always amazed at the students that don't come to class and at the end can't figure out why they have low or failing grades and no knowledge about the course content.
This is why there need to be some incentives for them to attend or if they aren't going to come class they need to go some where else and not waste their or the instructor's time.

It's pretty basic; if students don't show up to class, they can't succeed. In my classes, most of the students that end up having serious problems are also the students that miss a lot of class.
I agree. Attendacne is one of the first things that I look at when I see transcripts. I beleive especially in the doctor's office setting you must show that you are dependable and so your attendacne is a great way to back that statement up.
