Teachers being a "model" in a world viewing the profession poorly

As a former judge and prosecutor, now involved in teaching a highly technical, non-academic skill, I've again come across the all-too-common belief that "those who can, DO; those who cannot, TEACH; and those who cannot teach, TEACH TEACHERS?"

An effective teacher is someone who utilizes everyday activities to enlighten and encourage others. Teachers do not just stand in front of students and impart knowledge. Learning can take place anywhere by anyone. Teaching is a way of life, not just a profession. Steve
Hi Marc,
I hear you but anyway the saying is quoted I still enjoy teaching and don't worry them thinking I can't do it just teach about it. I know I can and that I can share my knowledge and expertise with my students to the point I can help them create a future for themselves. This to me is worth all the effort.
Keep putting forth the good work that you are doing and the legacy you are leaving through your students.
