I learned several tips which will help me to become a better instructor

This is so true. Your classes I know are exciting because you are able to bring such breath plus life experiences to the classroom. I say a sign that read "To Teach is To Learn Twice". I think this is very true for us instructors. We need to continually expand our knowledge base throughout our teaching careers.

One means by which you can expand your expertise is to develop an interdisciplinary approach to your subject matter. For example, my field is criminal justice and most instructors have a graduate degree in the teaching field. In additonal to a single degree, I have contiunued my educaiton to include sociology, psychology, political science, law, an advanced law degree which allows me to answer questions from a variety of viepwints depending on how the student asks a questions.
