Remaining Technically Current...

Remaining technically current is an important aspect of teaching; but not just remaining current in ones' field, also remaining current with fields that support the instructor's area of teaching.

Hi Linda,
Good strategies. The use of the network you establish is very effective because of the experiences these individuals have and can share with you. This helps to keep you content current as a result of everyone's input.

As a health career instructor, I find keeping abreast of clinical changes can be difficult if one concentrates on the classroom. Staying in touch,"networking" with professionals in our field, can provide valuable information for us as educators, and contacts for our students as well.

Hi Edith,
This is so important for all us to do. All fields are changing quickly so we need to remain on top of what those changes are and bring them into our classrooms.
Gary

As professionals we can remain technically current by attending workshops, reading journals, and joining professional organizations.
