Role Models in America
Who thinks that people in the publics eye should be viewed as role models?
Hi Thomas,
Good points about accountability and responsibility. Students need to develop these skills because without them their career opportunities are going to be severally limited.
Gary
I agree to a point. Responsibility and being held accountable for ones actions must start at home and then be reinforced at the educational level. The issues you face are the human element of individualism. Individualism on how the student processes the information given to them. The element of how family structure, beliefs, and attitude influence the student and the element of the different teaching styles and backgrounds of all instructors they have throughout there educational process. As possible roll models we all should have an interest in the student to succeed.
Hi Joshua,
Well said and a good point. Thank you for bringing this perspective to us.
Gary
All I mean is that so many people, especially people in the public eye are not held accountable for their actions. If we as teachers, first set a good example, and hold the students accountable for their actions, then they will be successful, they will excel in their personal and professional life.
Hi Joshua,
Not sure of your question. Can you expand on this a little more?
Thanks.
Gary
