Being A Positive Role Model
I as an instructor try to carry myself as a positive role model for my students. I like to make sure that whatever I am asking my students to do that I am either doing it as well or making sure I stay positive and engage myself in the activity with them. For example, If I ask my students to make sure that their professional appearance is good daily (i.e. no acrylic nails, ironed scrubs..etc.) that I have the same appearance. I speak positive words around them and make sure that I remain positive with them
These are all positive ways in which a professional should conduct themselves as well as following through, as an example if a student is waiting for you to help with something specific and you do help go another step beyond and ask if that was helpful, if not try another way and continue to follow through
