How to build student repport without going to far.
Repport is so important in my opinion to getting the most out of our students.
I can remember some of the teachers I've had in the past and their repport with the entire class was great !!
I worked harder because I did not want to let them down.
I felt a connection that pushed me to do the very best I could.
Is eating lunch with the entire class after a final going to far ? What do you think going to far is?
What is acceptable?
Would love to hear what you all think.
"Rapport" is definitely and important factor in educational success. If you do not establish a rapport with your students, you will, most likely, 'lose them' within days of beginning your classs.
Hi Mark,
I agree with your comments about establishing rapport with students. It is a big factor in why I am a teacher. I like the connection I get to have with the next generation of individuals entering my field.
As for lunch with the class at the end of the course I have no problem at all. In warm weather we have picnic on grounds and in the winter in the classroom. Sometimes I smoke ribs or we have pizza something informal to chat and socialize since the course is completed and I am sending them on their way.
