Preparation of student materials
I believe my Montessori training helps to prepare students for daily materials. I always say what we will do today....tomorrow and how it all fits together. It promotes organization in the class. I might say, we are going to lab today, first we will go over the lab, then assign lab functions for students by name or number, then a reminder of lab rules, etc., end result is no confusion and much less random activity.
Amos,
Good to hear. I wish you much teaching success as you develop your clear and concise goals objectives. The effort is well worth it because of the impact they will have on your students.

By taking the time to review the material to be taught and repreparing layout of the chapters, and the text’s. Prior long-term planning of activities is required to assure that there are sufficient materials for all students. These are the consumable materials that the students will need to complete their assignments.
Hey Dr. Meers, I just finish reading the material about goals and objective. I now understand how they direct me to be more specific and clear in constructive and directional learning for the student.
Amos,
Clear and concise goals and objectives are important to have for the reasons you indicated. They are what keeps everyone focused for the duration of the class.

I feel that when students have material based on the daily class they are more attentive and are aware of the flow in which the direction the class is going.
I found out that not having objectives confuses not only the students but the instructor is out of order in thier they want to take tihe class. The student becomes unsure about the information that they are given.
Preparing students in writing leaves no questions for assignments for the class daily
Debra,
I think it helps as well. You are making the objectives for each day and the goals for the course very clear to your students each time you meet. This helps to keep them on target throughout the course.
