motivation

this is a great topic , because the education is based in the motivation.

It is very helpful to be enthusiastic about the subject about to be presented to the class. However, an instructor may not feel that way at times for different reasons. In such case, would it be helpful to act or pretend to be enthusiastic?

Motivation in essential in all aspects of life. In adult education, it is particularly important. Most adult learners have not been in the classroom setting in years. These learners are often preoccupied by outside factors that could influence their classroom performance and dedication.

I agree motivation is very important. I think it helps prevent frustration when the subject is difficult to comprehend.

Kimberly,
So true and so important. Students need encouragement and support throughout the course as their knowledge expands and skills develop. This way they will see the ROI of what is being taught.

Motivation in the course I teach is essential. Students learning a skilled trade will usually fail several times before they reach their goal and attain the skill. It is important to highlight and celebrate the little improvements the students reach.

The students need to be motivated , weather it be a one on one discussion or as a whole class, with praise and and sometimes rewards for doing a good job.

I believe that without motivation from the instructor and from within the student, learning cannot take place.
