Professional Development Plan
As instructors it is important that we keep abreast of changes within our field and having a professional development plan is one way to insure we do stay on top of the changes in the field. We also must let our students know the importance of keeping up with the changes within their choosen field. In order for us to encourage them to stay fresh me must lead by example and be on top of our gameplan.

I enjoyed reading your response about the need in finding educational workshops to improve in your teaching. I tend to agree with you because as an instructor I am constantly looking for other resource materials in effort to keep my students engaged in their area field of study.

Yes, to be on top of our game plan is crucial to maintaining credibility and technical expertise. I try to read as much as possible about my given field through e-mags and technical periodicals. My main problem is finding the time to pursue the needed education for myself. I know at this point I could use 4 hours a week to work on improving my course material and instructional methods. How do you find the time to pursue these endeavors?
