ED101
This course gave me helpful insight on how to be a better instructor during my next class. Any helpful suggestions from seasoned instructors in the medical field?
Robert,
Good to hear. If I can be of any additional help as you develop your instructional expertise let me know.

I am also currently having this problem. I am 4 weeks into being an instructor in a class room setting as opposed to being in the field teaching. Many things in ED101 are helping me as I continue along.
Sheila,
Good strategy and I am sure now that you have taught a while your confidence in the areas where you didn't feel as strong has greatly increased. Experience is a great helper in expanding confidence and ability.

Socorro,
As with any situation experience helps to reduce the "nerves" while building confidence. You are make strides in the development of your instructional style. I wish you much success with your teaching in the future.

This is something I also had to learn. I didn't have a problem talking to the students, but I was very nervous on subjects I wasn't strong in. I noticed that the subjects I was strong in I wasn't as nervous, so I made sure I reviewed the material in my weak subjects more in depth and made more notes for myself. It made it much easier for me.
I have learned to relax and not look as if I am nervous or worried. Talk to the students, try not to be so uptight. Students appreciate when you treat them as adults.
