Motivation

I have found that over the years of working in the Career Technical education sector, many of my students count on us to be their motivator. I find this to be one of the most essential tools for an instructor in this field. the lack of outside support to complete their program can often influence the student to give up when the going gets tough. By motivating our students, we have a better chance to help them succeed.

I agree as well as having our own self motivation and excitement can increase student interaction.

Love the idea about a motivation speaker. Our students definitely need motivation on a daily level from us,but a speaker from outside of our realm would enforce what we are trying to say to them.

I have been working in the technical college field for about 18 months and our students do rely on us to be their motivator. So I recently started a peer support group on our campus in which we bring in speakers twice a month that motivate our students in a positive way and uplift them to show them that we care and are here for them!
