Being prepared

If you are prepared for the days lecture and demo the students pick up on that and it shows professionalism.

I think being prepared is knowing your material and using plenty of visual aids. Showing you are on top of "chaos" is big.

Being prepared, includes knowing the subject matieral and having everything ready.

Dont forget we need to be role models.
If we want them to be prepared and ready on time we better be.

If you are not ready for the class the students pick up on this and its hard to get there attention.

I beleive having training aids out and ready before class is great preparation. Students pick up on their instructor's preparedness. Lead by example.

Being prepared also includes knowing when and how a visual aid or demonstration will be presented.

I am not sure how this is part of being prepared. If you are saying that you schedule to have your training aids out before the start of class then that is being prepared. Take it a step further if you have your lecture surrounded by your visual aids with accomaning reference material.

If you use demos or show parts and components as part of your lecture have them all out before hand so the students see them it excites them knowing that they are going to touch and discuss something new

The instructor sets the mood and pace of the class. If you are not prepared you will be nervous and flusterated and the class will sence this . The more prepared you are the better and easier it is to handle the un-expected .
