prepared

Always be prepared for lectures and demonstrations, so time is not wasted.

Carla,
Just as we ask our students to learn and prepare we need to do the same. You learned from your experiences and your students will benefit from this knowledge.

I have had to learn the hard way how not being prepared can affect the whole course experience. You live, you learn, you do better.

I agree with you, and would like to add. Wasted time in the class room can not be made up. Students can fill when time is being wasted and lose interest at that point. It is very hard to get them back on track. So being prepared is high on my list!

we are a model, be prepared, so that student will be prepared

I inform my student at the end of the class, what we will be discussing in the next class meeting.

I have found that if when the students first come into the class for that day that if you have everthing set out and ready to go they are more ready to start the class and no time is wasted on set up. Most students want to get started right away and if you are seting up for the first 5 minuts you may lose there attenison.
