introduction
After I untroduse myself and before I start
outlining the first day check list,course objectives ,and letting students know my academic and behavioral expectations, I usually start off to help students get to know one another, talk about thers backgraunds, and feel
more comfortable in class.
I also believe a good introduction is a method to stimulate student interest and create a vested interest in the subject matter
Introduction is an important step in succeeding. My belief is that it gives the educator an idea as to what type of student she/he is dealing with and it gives the student an idea of their instructors expectations.
Introductions will set the attitude of the class, I begin with a very breif course introduction, followed by introducing my self, and why i am qualified to be here. Than have the class do introductions.

It is always a usefull step to ask to introduce themselves and tell about their aims and and expectaations in professional life and pass words of encouragement with if guidance.
