I do agree, seeing the students start to ask questions after you speak of a real experience can bring good converstaion they may help a student that is stuggling to understand the topic of your converstaion

Hi Terry,
The key with individual planning is to personalize the standardized curriculum. You need to take the guide and go through the lesson plan for that day and see where you can interject your own experiences into the lesson. This will help you to illustrate the concepts being taught plus help the students to see and hear that you have had these experiences as they relate to the day's lesson. You have the technical expertise and the lesson guide so you need to plan for how you will integrate illustrations and practical examples while delivering the content.
