Enviornment

How the room is arranged is very important. I always make sure that the adult learner is not looking at someones back. I try to arrange the chairs so that the adult learner are looking at each other. I feel that this increases the class conversation and interaction.

Hello Kara- I like the way that you set up the classroom. In my classroom the students are all facing each other; learning and interacting with each other.

Hi Kara,
I set my classroom up like you do. I want all of my students to be in the "front row" and I do this by using a horse shoe shape. This way we can all see each other and it draws the classroom in making it feel comfortable. It makes the students feel more like they are on a panel discussing topics rather than in a classroom. I get much better discussion with this arrangement.
