Planning and preparation

The planning and preparation before the first day should not be modified after you had class for a few days depending on how the new class responds?

I agree, when the lesson plan is not laid out ahead of time, not only are you confused and going off of the top of your head but the students are then not directed.

I think the students can see through a poorly planned lesson or lecture. The know the 'real deal' when they see or hear it.

Hi Erika,
Good planning solves all types of problems for instructors. It takes some time but the payoff is well worth it as evidenced by your forum comments.

Personally, i think planning ahead is very important. I always try to read the course subject before I teach it. I like it because then I could always plan something fun that the students might enjoy depeding on the subject that we are studying.
