Adjusting New Student

What a good way to introduce new students to material that older student have already learned without lossing the old student attention.

Hi Savitri,
Actually this can be a good thing because you can target your instructional delivery on their generational characteristics. They are the gen Y group steeped in technology and constant stimulation. This way you can develop fast moving presentations, hook into visual displays such as YouTube, etc. This would be a very interesting class to teach since all similar in their age and experiences.

What happens if your class is all young students, say between 18-23 years old?

Great idea!

Hi Rochelle,
I create study teams where the experienced student(s) work with the less experienced ones. I use case studies and problem situations along with a little competition between teams so get them to work together. This peer peer sharing really works well if the groups are set up and organized well.
