preparing lectures
We use PPTs for out lectures. I build pretty comprehensive Power Points covering all topics in the assignment utilizing both providded course materials and textbook materials as well as real-life examples. I blieve that this creates a good blend and reinforces learning from the text and course materials. How many of use remember the concept of "price elasticity of demand" simply by read a few pages from a text? I didn't! So I discuss the subject in detail and provide real-world examples.

Case scenarios and hands on clinical experiences are some of the tools we use in teaching Nursing. As an instructor it is really important to embed the Nursing Process into thier critical thinking capabilities. In post conferences, I like to ask the students what sre thier highlights as well as issues they would like to discuss. As a group, I ask them questions that guides them back into the Nursing Process. Also, there are now simulated clinical software available for the students that helps them transition from what they learn in theory and applied in the clinical setting. With technology today find out if there are any software available related to your courses.
I use PPT and sample - examples for my Math courses to illustrate concepts and points. I wish there were more ways (more creative) ways to learn math in an online setting. If anyone has any suggestions, please share!
We also use PPTs for our lecture and they are tailored to the course objectives. I like to utilize tools that stimulate critical thinking capabilities and I believe that my students enjoy the real-world examples embedded on it. I like to discuss the students thoughts and how they process the information.
