Paper work load interferes with teaching.....
I have worked in many different colleges and, in some of them, the paper work (like filling, tests scoring, students reports, etc.)interferes with teaching, without mentioning some administrative duties the teacher has to do
There are many benefits to being an adjunct. You do get to select how much you want to teach, and what times you want to teach. It still seems that there is a lot of paperwork involved, but in the end it protects you. It may seem redundant at the time, but when problems arise, you will be glad you have the paperwork there to support any decisions you have made.
Hi Timothy,
That is one of the advantages of being an adjunct you can select where you teach and how much you want to teach. Nice place to be if you want variety in your teaching and school affiliation.

I suppose one of the enjoyable things about teaching online as an adjunct is that if you do not like how much paperwork one school is assigning, so always have the option to take a larger load at another school.
Hi Enrique,
That is why many instructors burn out on teaching. They get so bogged down with the paperwork and administrative issues that teaching isn't teaching anymore. It becomes more bookkeeping that anything else. Hope this doesn't happen to you.
