Preparation of Lesson note
I found planning and preparation very important in my teaching carrier. Especially the preparation of lesson notes. I have been instructor at many levels of education and have attended a lot of courses both in Africa and in the UK. In the Elementary and Middle school level teaching in some country where practice my teaching profession many years ago, it was compulsory for a teacher to prepare a lesson plan and lesson notes. These prepared documents are constantly inspected and approved by authorities. Failure to do so most of the time leads to sanctions.
Hi Niles,
You make some very good points about the advantages of having lesson plans developed and ready to follow. They give sequence and order to presentations and illustrate the planning that has gone into the instructional delivery.

I try to have a written guide of how to conduct the class, but in all honesty, it usually gets revised at some point. Either b/c a student isn't fully understanding or b/c I have to follow up with something in more greater detail.
It helps to have, especially if you have a pop in visit by your boss.
Aloha, I found by having the students already do the readings for the next subject prior to class balanced by a quick review of the prior class gives them a well rounded understanding of how the classes interconnect with each other and create a common goal.
Hi Williams,
Sounds like you have had both a diverse and comprehensive educational background that has prepared you for where you are at today. I know your students are benefiting from your expertise.
