Planning

This is my first time as an instructor. so writing lesson plans,I probably go the long route, taking extra time in this process.

Since you are new at teaching, let me give you a piece of advice: Make lots of notes to yourself about how the lesson went, what worked, and what didn't work. Then get rid of the junk that didn't work (it really won't work any better next time). Keeping the good stuff and making it even better every year will make you a great teacher. Get to know all your students because before you know it, you will have their children in class, and you will have gray hair (like mine). Good luck in your career.

Hi Kimberly,
This is great experience for you as you develop your ability to break content down into segments and create lesson plans. The process will get easier with experience at which time you can concentrate on introducing new delivery models to your teaching expertise.
