Planning and preparation
This module is going to help me a lot, I'm a first time instructor at the professional level and it showed me things that I wouldn't have thought about it unless one of my associates might have mention the planing and preparation of the course being thought.
I agree that proper planning is fundamental to a successful class. However, I do not think it means preparing a syllabus once and follow it strictly. I believe it should be considered always as a work in progress with you continuing to review it and rework it. Finding better ways to convey the material to the student and in some cases incorporating current events and how they impact what you are teaching.
I agree that Planning/Preparation is the basis for teaching a course successfully.New ideas and techniques are often learned from experienced professors advice.
