Well being a professional and having monthly periodicals coming to me would it be good to present those to my class when I would be the only one able to get that info, would it be giving them more info than the others in the school are getting. I fear doing that since I get very specific information to myself that few people are able to get that it would be inappropriate to do so.

With your approach you are showing your students relevancy to what they are studying. In addition if you can help them make application of their new knowledge you will have them really focused on the course content.

I would give it to them and explain that this is "cutting edge" (I assume it is by what I have read). I find students are more interested in my topics and lectures when they percieve that this information is special and they are not getting it any where else. As long as the info is not illegally obtained or is not public knowledge, I would present it.
