Planning and preparation is critical when being an instructor. Being prepared is one of the biggest foundations for a functional classroom. It is important to be a good role model to set a good example for the students to be prepared for the workplace

Yes plus the preparation you make to be sure you engage all of the students in the learning exchange that will be taking place in your class. Also, you need to make sure you have a plan for touching on each topic you want to cover during the student discussions.

Well said. If we neglect this part of our instructional development we are not going to be effective and efficient in our teaching. In addition, we will not have the respect of our students because they will know we are not putting forth the effort we should.

I agree. Good planning definitely helps in being prepared to teach effectively. In addition, it sets the tone of the class, shows responsibility, which then models for the students what they need to do for their part.
