Syllabus
At my school, most of the syllabi are canned, although we can modify them to some extent. Is it acceptable to add short addendums to the syllabus to highlight specific instructor expectations?

A key part of using a standardized syllabus is to personalize it in relation to your instructional style. When you make it your own then the students will see the value of it as a part of the total course offering.

My school the syllibus is also fixed yet we can add small notes to it.
I like the fact that syllabi are subject to change.
