Sticking to a Lesson Plan

I sometimes find it challenging sticking to a lesson plan. I've had several classes that I taught multiple times and sometimes a group of students catches on much faster than another. I focus on making sure the learning objectives are met at the end of the course but I have to admit I sometimes had to improvise with respect to the lesson plan.

My main issue is some times kids have more questions than previous classes and I feel obligated to answer. I sometimes feel that it is at the detriment to later lessons. But I like it when students are engaged... it is a balancing act I have yet to learn

every group of students is different. you sometimes have to manipulate the "plan" to focus on the areas the students need more help in.
