Getting to Know You

A class that knows the importance of networking and developing relationships will also give more effort to the class and its objectives

Networking and developing relationships are skills that students will need to have when they are looking for jobs, and when working in their chosen field. If I can help my students develop these soft skills in addition to their coursework, I feel I've done a good job. -Jeanne

As a new instructor teaching in the student's third term, I have seen the positive rapport between all the students. The students have developed relationships that I believe will last a lifetime! I still have former classmates from more than 9 years ago that I see in the neighborhood as well as I have worked with in the past.

Hi Tim,
This is a very good point that many instructors miss. Relationships create rapport and rapport creates a learning community.
