The first impression

the first impression is one of the most important thinks that the instructor have to keep on mind

Bevin,
Well put because it is from this first meeting that students size up an instructor. From there on it is a building process so the first impression needs to be a good one.

A way to strive to create a strong first impression is to give a brief, but positive and confident introduction. So much really is based in that first moment when you say hello and how you set a tone in the manner you greet someone. I try to engage by asking the right amount of questions and actively listening, which helps steer and focus a conversation or presentation in the earlier stages.
