First Day of Class
First day of class is the most effective time in meeting students and discussing the course requirements. Student’s attendance is very crucial because you have the opportunity to meet and network with other students and are able to respond to their questions and concerns about the course. I enjoy the first day of class because it give me a better understanding on how to facilitate my classroom.
Eric,
This is good information for the students to have because they can see that you were where they are now. We are all former students ourselves and sometimes our students forget that and think we have never had to study, learn or work to get where we are.

i like to tel them where i come from, what experience i have and what are their goal in life
Linda,
I like the first class meeting for the reasons you list. It is always exciting for me to meet and get to know the current group of students that I will be spending the next 15 weeks with. The first day we get to know each other as humans through ice breakers and introductions. Then we build our relationships from there.

The First day is my favorite. It is exciting to meet new people and have a fresh start. As a teacher I remember my first day and how excited I was to learn and begin my journey toward my career. It is more relaxed and we all have some time getting to know one another and discusee all the wonderful things we are going to learn. I really try to show my passion for the field and help them remember why they are all here.
I think the first day of class is most important day. It gives you the opportunity to go over all expectations and gives you time to make students more comfortable with you if you give them a heads up on whats coming in detail so there is no confusion and it gives you the time to show your personality and see the personalities of your students.
I agree, I also enjoy the first day of class, it gives the students a chance to learn about you and this also gives the instructor the chance to learn something about the students.
Charolette,
I enjoy the first class meeting as well. I am always excited about the new crop of students coming in and how I will be able to interact with them while building a base of mutual respect and learning opportunities. Makes teaching both exciting and very rewarding.
