Head, Heart, Gut

I especially enjoyed the "Head, Heart, Gut" point made by the Harvard Business School lecturer when he pointed out that a succussful class is one where the instructor hits the head, heart, and gut of the students thereby creating an extremely valuable learning experience in each student. I look forward to reflecting on this principle and applying it in my class tomorrow.

I agree too. It points a little toward the Integral school of thought, a la Robert Kegan (Harvard) and Ken Wilber. I highly recommend checking out materials on Integral Education via the Integral Institute of interested in going deeper in this terrain.

Anna-Marie,
This is what the human factor in teaching should be about. Good point, thanks for sharing it.

I agree. Using your mind, then your heart (for showing the students empathy) then gut is the core of the work was a great example to follow.

Max,
It is a great model for us to follow as we teach our classes and interact with students. Thanks for the good comments.
