The Bliss of Teaching "that" class for the First Time
As a professional in the film industry and as somebody who relishes working with the camera, meeting that certain group of hungry new students for the 1st time is something I will always cherish. Two semesters ago-- the fall of 2012, I was greeted by 12 hungry wannabe filmmakers who were ready to take on the industry. This enthusiasm has not lead up and now we are together taking Camera 2. Some of these students have grown so much that they are already taking on their first professional jobs.
Maria Estela,
Thank you for sharing this story with us. This is why many of us continue in the educational field. You had an impact on the lives of these students and even get to work with some of them today. What a great compliment to your efforts. Keep up the good work.

Two years ago I had a group of second courser students from different fields in the medical world who enrolled in my nursing class. After 2 years I attended their graduation ceremony and they all thanked me for that first meeting that inspired them to finish Right now, a few of them are my co-instructors in the same school.

Joseph,
This kind of excitement is what keeps instructors coming back to the classroom. What a wonderful opportunity you have to work with such an engaged and dedicated group of new film makers. Enjoy!
