Testing for type of learner
Is there any sample test to define which type of learner your student is?
I think it just takes a few sessions of trial and error and observation. I can usually get a good idea by how engaged the student is after the lesson. If they respond enthusiastically after a video or after a reading or an activity you get a good sense of what is working for that student and perhaps the group.
In my College Success course that I used to teach, I would have each student do Learning Style Inventories. You can search the Internet and you will be amazed at how many surveys are out there to try yourself.
Hi Ana,
You can learn a lot through observing your students and then planning your instructional delivery around those observations. This really helps with offering different options around the demonstrated learning preferences.

I usually ask them how they learn and observe them in activities in the first lectures.
