delivering course content

When delivering course content it is important to be organized and concise in the delivery. It is also important to stick as closly as possible to the course content, because student's get anxious when there are to many unexpected changes.

Hi Karla,
Bringing "side bar" topics that support the discussions is a great way for students to see relevancy to what they are learning. Even though it may seem you are deviating from the topic you are really just reinforcing it in another and engaging way.

I agree to a certain extent. I find that students like it when I deviate from the topic to address real-life scenarios that would help better illustrate the concept. It could be something that seemingly appears to be unrelated, but the excitement comes in tying the side bar back to the subject matter.
