Tactile learning in the audio field
I have learned that 4 hours of lecture time does not amount to 25 minutes of hands on work in the pro audio field. Students grasp better when they work hands on and I am sure some of you would agree with me regarding other trades as well.

Exactly. This brings it all together for the students. They get to see the application of the content and apply their new found knowledge.

I teach the same topic as you and I agree. You can talk to the students for hours on end about signal flow in the class room and students dont fully understand the concept. You go in the studio for 20 minutes with a console in front of them and it makes sense.

When students are involved with the integration of both cognitive processing and psychomotor activities the retention rate of content is higher plus the attention of the students is greater.
